Affirmations are things that can help you to increase your self-love, help to motivate you and build your confidence. Affirmations can help you be positive and learn to even attract things to yourself such as love, money, and good health.
Affirmations are words or phrases that you will say to yourself or other people. You can repeat these phrases over and over until you believe what you are saying. When you believe something, it becomes your reality.
You have to learn to practice affirmations on a regular basis if you want to make them work. You can learn to accomplish things when you say affirmations each day.
It is best to come up with your own phrases, but you can say things such as:
- I am smart.
- I am loved.
- I care for others.
Negative Qualities
Even though affirmations are supposed to be positive, you need to take time to write down all of your negative qualities that you do not like about yourself. Take a moment to write down anything that makes you insecure and anything that you have done to criticize yourself. This is a way that you can go back to your past where you experienced negative talk to you such as being bullied about your weight or teased because of how you look. This could have caused you pain and hurt and you need to write these down.
Turn them to Positive
Next, you need to take your negative phrases and turn them into something positive. If you wrote down, “I am not worthy,” change your affirmation to, “I am worthy.” By doing this, your affirmations will become positive and will overtake the negative things you have heard in your mind and your soul.
Current Life
You can create affirmations that will help you in your workplace or your relationship. Come up with things to say that will help you to get rid of negative feelings in your heart and mind.
Maybe you want to break a bad habit. You can say something such as, “I am strong to beat this addiction.” These affirmations can help to make you stronger in your actions.
Repeating the Affirmations
Take time each day to repeat these affirmations. Speak your affirmations for a few minutes each day and do it a few times a day. Even set a reminder on your phone if you need to.
Some people find it easier to say these things while they do something else such as working out or cooking. They can speak the affirmations and even see them coming into their soul.
When you are doing something like fixing your hair or your makeup, repeat your affirmations. If you have a hard time saying them out loud, record yourself saying them and play it back over and over. You can even do this while you are at work, on the road or at home.

If there is a part of your body that is negative to you such as your weight, put your hand over your body and say your affirmation. Really let the affirmation fill your body and release any negative feelings from yourself.
